Feng Shui boom in Japan
Last 10 years, the Feng Shui boom has been raised in Japan. (Feng means wind, Shui means water) The belief originated from China, dating back some five thousand years. "Feng Shui" seeks to enhance the quality and flow of life force energy, called "Qi" According to Feng Shui, people's luck depends on what direction the house's door, windows, and bathrooms face, and the colors of the furniture, and what they eat and how they eat. First, direction has much meanging in Feng Shui. Each direction represents a meaning : North is descendant and savings, East is business and southeast is love. If you want to improve your love or romance luck, you should live in a room which is located in the southeast section or part of your house, with its window faced to the southeast. Second, color also plays a great role. For example, at the north end of the room, people who believe in Feng Shui should use white and dark colors; these colors mean "purity and calm." to the east, they use red and blue to bring "vigor". To the south, green is used to bring "prosperity." It is also recommended to put plants here and there. The way of eating and what they eat also affects their luck. If they eat noodles a lot, their human relationships will be improved. If they eat crab and shrimp a lot, their charm will be increased, and the will power is strengthened if they eat the noodles or crab or shrimp at the beginning and the ending of the meal. It may sound stupid to other cultures, but many Asian people are very superstitious and I am one of them.
