Spark Joy or not? Tidying Up With Marie Kondo

I read a buzz about Marie Kondo's Netflix show so I watched the first episode yesterday. Marie Kondo is very famous in Japan and she's called "Konmari" in short. I've read her book once or twice and I tried her method, (don't ask me if it worked or not) but after I've watched it, and I actually wrote about her book 3 years ago and I totally skipped the most important thing she's talking about.

"Does it spark joy or not for you?"

I have watched the first episode with a young couple with two little adorable children in a beautiful house. Their house doesn't look so bad but got a lot of junk.

Before starting tidying up the house, Marie Kondo sits down on the floor in the house and greet to the house, like meditating.

Then, take out all the clothes you have and put into one pile

Next, take the clothes one by one in your hand and see if that particular thing spark joy or not. If not, you say "thank you" and say goodbye.

She separates into four categories; Clothes, Paper, Miscellaneous, Sentimental (maybe wrong, but something like that) and does (let the family do) the same method.

After completing the cleaning, everybody's life gets better with extra space, and most of all, they can live life with something sparks joy for you.


By the way, 1/21/19 was a full moon, but not the usual full moon, it was

SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON

within the spiritual people, we wish to the moon twice a month. Once at the new moon,  then at the full moon. You make a wish at the new moon and at the full moon, you let go your old thought that you don't need like negative thoughts, and see how you're doing towards your wish.

so until the next new moon which is Feb 4th, 2019, it's a good time to let go that doesn't spark joy for you.

The world of Law of Attraction

Lots of things happened lately and I needed some spiritual help so I was binge watching inspirational Youtube video a lot.

I love spiritual stuff like Reiki, Theta Healing, I've heard of Basher but haven't look into what it is until recently.

Thanks to Youtube, I've learned a lot about Basher and I also discovered "Abraham Hicks", She's famous for "Law of Attraction" Is she the first one say that? I think that's Napoleon Hill, his theory doesn't involve aliens though.

Yes, both Basher and Abram Hicks channeling with the universe power, or vortex.

They both say "What you think will really happen, either good way or bad way." and that's the common fact for all the spiritual world.

So I'm trying to attract something good. I'm imagining I'm a rich person and have a wonderful partner,  have good kids, happy life, great house in a good neighborhood, great income without sacrifice my family life.

The theory says you need to feel happy and you act like you already have everything you want. You might think you have what you want so you are happy, it's opposite, you feel happy therefore you are having what you want.

Open Your Chakra

I like spiritual things.

I have taken Reiki 1st, 2nd, and third. I used to practice Yoga.

I made this Chakra mark and colors straight on a center of the t-shirts/goods design to help clearing chakras.

 Chakra is "Qi" = power flow There are seven chakras in each person.

Feeling Vortex at Sedona!

Sedona in Arizona is very popular among spiritual people. It's very popular among Japanese. Since I heard of Sedona, I wanted to go there for a long time but didn't because of the long drive, 7 hours drive from Los Angeles!

Sedona is famous for Vortex. I wanted feel the Vortex, and wondering what is vortex. I don't know if I felt it or not, I really liked  the view of Sedona red rocks and hiking.

There are 4 vortex spot in Sedona.

1) Airport Mesa

This place was near we stayed. Very easy to hike up, the parking was full always.

2) Cathedral Rock (Picture from the Airport Mesa)

Don't use map app on your iPhone! We drove to wrong place for the trail head. I saw somebody was also got  wrong way using the app. Easy up to the middle, harder to the top. My 4 year old (then) daughter couldn't make it but My son (9 then) and I went up half way to the top. My husband stayed with our daughter.

3) Bell Rock
We couldn't go this time, since I read a little hard hike for the little kids.

4) Boynton Canyon
Right next to the Enchantment Resort. You could see their parking spot and resort while you are hiking.. we didn't check the map before we hiked and missed the view point. We encountered the "Heart Man" who gives you heart rocks. We were so lucky! Thank you Heart Man!!

Did I feel the vortex??

Maybe and maybe not. I surely enjoyed the view and atmosphere.

We settled finally after a few places we tried to go were closed.. It was OK..

Right near we stayed so we walked for the breakfast. Very trendy and sophisticated. We should have checked out their happy hours!

We also brought some cup noodle with us and ate at our room one night to save money.

We went into the jewelry store right next to the Olde Sedona Bar & Grill. I like to see crystals and power stones, but their price was pretty high and we were the only customer. The guy in there was very friendly and I bought a heart shaped pendant head for my daughter and gave her a free string to make it a necklace. The guy explained this rock is good for this and that and one of them is good for nightmare. (Black turmaline) My son suffers from nightmare every now and then so we bought that too. My son said the stone really works.

Very convenient place. Close to Airport Mesa, Mesa Grill, great view, reasonable place to stay.

I want to visit there again in spring or fall which is the best season to go!
